What a joy to work on season three of Amazon’s Emmy-winning hit with my long-time writing partner Tom, and our friend, creator and director Amy Sherman-Palladino. Tom and I wrote five original songs for the series, one of which “One Less Angel” received an Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics. Look for “One Less Angel,” and “Bottle of Pop” in episode 1, then catch “Make Mine a Double,” “No One Has To Know,” and “The Boy in the Blue Plaid Pants” later in season three.
When rising stand-up comic Miriam “Midge” Maisel goes on her first nationwide tour as the opening act for Shy Baldwin, a popular crooner in the mold of Johnny Mathis/Sam Cooke, she begins to experience a world far beyond the sheltered life she’d known.
